What is Stitch?
We created Stitch with a clear mission: to solve real problems faced by developers and creators today. At the core of that mission is our commitment to being open source — the entire Stitch codebase is freely available for anyone to explore, modify, and extend. We believe transparency and accessibility lead to better tools, better ideas, and a stronger community.
Stitch is built entirely on modern Apple frameworks, harnessing the full potential of technologies like ARKit, CoreML, iCloud Syncing, and SwiftUI. Whether you’re building for iPhone, iPad, or the Mac, Stitch is optimized for the Apple ecosystem and ready to scale with the future of the platform. It's not just modern — it’s built to stay ahead.
We're also deeply passionate about creating touch-first experiences. The iPad is an incredible device that deserves powerful, intuitive software, and we think Stitch helps fill that gap. By focusing on touch interaction and rich user interfaces, we aim to unlock new creative workflows and make advanced tools more accessible — especially on devices people love to use.

ARKit Support
Stitch includes support for ARKit, enabling you to place 3D models directly into the real world through your device’s camera. This opens up creative possibilities across education, design, entertainment, and more.
While we've only built a proof of concept so far, it lays the groundwork for immersive experiences that blend digital and physical spaces. The core functionality is there — it's now up to you to extend it further.
We're excited to explore the full potential of augmented reality and how it can transform how people interact with content. Stitch is your starting point for building spatially-aware applications powered by Apple’s latest AR tech.

CoreML Models
Stitch supports any CoreML model, giving you the flexibility to use pre-trained models or import ones you’ve trained yourself. This allows for seamless integration of powerful machine learning capabilities into your apps.
To help you get started quickly, we’ve included a few ready-to-use models that demonstrate real-time image recognition, text classification, and more. You can use these as templates or inspiration for your own experiments.
Whether you're building something creative, experimental, or production-ready, CoreML support gives Stitch the intelligence to adapt and grow with your ideas. The tools are here — now it’s your turn to explore.

iCloud Syncing
iCloud syncing ensures that all your documents are seamlessly available across all your devices. Whether you’re using your Mac, iPhone, or iPad, you’ll always have access to the most up-to-date version of your work, no matter where you are.
Looking ahead, we plan to expand this feature to allow live updates of projects as you make changes across multiple devices. This will provide a smoother experience, where everything syncs in real time without manual uploads or downloads.
Additionally, we’re aiming to integrate collaboration support, similar to what you’re accustomed to in apps like Freeform. This will be powered by the same APIs that make syncing so powerful, enabling teams to work together effortlessly on shared projects.
